Investor Readiness is the degree to which a prospective investor is prepared to meaningfully evaluate, conduct due diligence on, or allocate capital to an investment opportunity.
Investor Readiness is influenced by liquidity, timing, investment objectives, previous investment experience, understanding of the opportunity, familiarity with the investment organization, perceived risk, Investor Confidence, Trust Capital, and Relationship Capital.
Investor interest should not be confused with Investor Readiness.
A prospective investor can demonstrate genuine interest while remaining weeks, months, or even years away from making a capital allocation decision.
